The VIFA 2018 (is convened by the CARD of VIF & conducted in
accordance with the VIF BOARD MEETING resolution vide F.No.VIF/MIN/BM-I/2018 held on
January 2, 2018 at VIF Head Quarters)
invites nominations vide F.No.VIF/CFN/FA/2018 opened on 9 January 2018 from eligible individuals
those are in 'Continuous Regular Service in Academic Institution' in the age group of 27 - 65 years
and working on the Frontiers of Agricultural Sciences, Engineering, Health and Medical Sciences,
Humanities and Social Sciences, Management, Science, Veterinary and Animal Sciences.

Lifetime Achievement Award
This award is established in 2015 and has been conferred for a
remarkable teaching professional who demonstrated a track record of
academic/research excellence that are reflected by the distinct innovations
and initiatives.
- Contribution:
Exceptional teaching records and a commitment to high
standards of professional life, contributions to the Institution as shown
through leadership in faculty governance or administrative work, mentoring
of student activities, sponsorship of Institution events, or initiation of new
services for students, faculty and other members of the community.
- Eligibility:
The qualification of the nominee must be recognized and
documented by corresponding successes in active participation with
students in professional activities/academic projects, development of a
new program, integration of innovative approaches to learning,
publications (articles and books) and special awards. A working
professional can nominate an 'Eligible Individual' (or Self Nominate) for the
VIFA 2018. The nominee must be above 55 years of age as on June 30,
2018
Distinguished Faculty Award
This award is established in 2015 and has been conferred for a teaching
professional who demonstrated a track record of academic excellence
that are reflected by the distinct initiatives.
- Contribution:
Excellence in teaching as documented by student
evaluations, comments, and feedback, success of former students,
descriptions of new courses, development of a new program, integration of
innovative approaches to learning, or notable work beyond the classroom
setting such as recognition for advising, sponsorship of student honour
societies, collaboration with students in research projects, and active
participation with students in professional activities, Growth and
achievement in his/her area of expertise.
- Eligibility:
The qualification of the nominee must be recognized and
documented by corresponding successes in active participation with
students in professional activities/academic projects, development of a
new program, publications (articles and books). A working professional
can nominate an 'Eligible Individual' (or Self Nominate) for the VIFA 2018.
The nominee must be above 45 years of age as on June 30, 2018
Outstanding Faculty Award
This award is established in 2015 and has been conferred for a
remarkable teaching professional who demonstrated a track record of
academic excellence that are reflected by the distinct initiatives.
- Contribution :
Requires distinction as a scholar as documented through
publications, invited lectures and papers, leadership in professional
societies, work on editorial boards, membership in prestigious
professional organizations, or other kinds of selective positions of
leadership. The faculty member's record of achievement should reflect
sustained contributions to the Institution over many years.
- Eligibility :
The qualification of the nominee must be recognized and
documented by corresponding successes in active participation with
students in professional activities/academic projects, publications
(articles and conference papers). A working professional can nominate an
'Eligible Individual' (or Self Nominate) for the VIFA 2018. The nominee
must be above 35 years of age as on June 30, 2018
Young Faculty Award
This award is established in 2015 and has been conferred for a teaching
professional who demonstrated a track record of academic
excellence that are reflected by the distinct initiatives.
- Contribution:
Requires excellence in teaching, collaboration with students
in research projects, and active participation with students in professional
activities. Good academic record, growth and achievement in his/her area
of expertise.
- Eligibility:
The qualification of the nominee must be recognized and
documented by corresponding successes in active participation with
students in professional activities/academic projects and publications
(articles and conference papers). A working professional can nominate an
'Eligible Individual' (or Self Nominate) for the VIFA 2018. The nominee
must be above 27 years of age as on June 30, 2018
Award: Certificate, Bronze Medal and Memento
- For each discipline/department/division (Eg. Distinguished Faculty - Engineering/Mechanical/Design and Manufacturing),
the expert committee will select 2 Nominees. However the Apex Committee reserve the rights to honor
less or more than 2 nominees in who meet standards set by the expert committee.
